Coffee Whipped Cream in Easter Egg

A very simple and delicious
treat to make this
easter holiday!

If you are practicing social distancing this Easter and staying in, this recipe will make a fun activity to keep you entertained and enjoy. Coffee in an Easter Egg became hugely popular a couple of years ago and we all enjoyed it. This year, with the dalgona coffee trend surfaced on social media, we thought we would also attempt a new simple recipe for all to enjoy. Recipe below can make 2 serves of Coffee Whipped Cream in Easter Egg. You can use a mixer or hand whisk the coffee, sugar and cream. We used a mixer and it took less than 2 minutes to form the beautiful firm whipped cream.

Coffee Whipped Cream:

  • Short Black Coffee - 30 mL (We used 30 mL of a shot of Mr & Mrs Mill Trust Your Strength Coffee)
  • Sugar - 50 g (Refined or caster sugar would work fine)
  • Thickened Cream - 150 ml

  • Easter eggs and chocolate of choice. We purchased ours from Aldi

How to make Coffee Whipped Cream in an Easter Egg:

Use a mixer to whisk or hand whisk 30 mL of Short Black Coffee and 50 g of Sugar until the ingredients are well mixed together and create a loose foam. We like a strong coffee flavour for our Whipped Cream so we chose Mr. & Mrs. Mill Trust Your Strength Coffee. All K-fee Coffee Pod Machines make beautiful Short Black to Long Black coffee and you can even adjust the setting to your desirable volume. A standard Short Black Coffee is more than enough to make 2 serves. We only used 30 mL of coffee in this recipe. After a minute, add 150 mL of Thickened Cream. Machine whisk for another minute - it will take a little longer if you hand whisk. Whoa lah! It took under 2 minutes to complete the Coffee Whipped Cream. It's one of the quickest treats you can make for yourself at home.

Now it's time to decorate your Easter Egg.

We purchased a double pack of Dairy Free Easter Eggs from Aldi. They are the perfect size for our treat. We love Aldi chocolates because they are well priced and delicious and their quality is never compromised.

Use a knife, cut the top of the Chocolate Egg and start filling it with the Coffee Whipped Cream. Decorate it with anything you like. We topped our Egg with more chocolate because one can never have enough chocolate right!
